    • Career opportunities and job expectations
  • 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Basic Truck Components (3 hours)
    • Overview of truck parts and dashboard functions
  • 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm: Study Session/Review (2 hours)

Tuesday:

  • 9:00 am – 12:00      pm: Vehicle Safety Protocols (3 hours)
    • Personal safety, PPE, and basic safety procedures
  • 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm: DOT Regulations and Compliance (3 hours)
    • Overview of DOT regulations and Hours of Service (HOS)
  • 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm: Study Session/Review (2 hours)

Wednesday:

  • 9:00 am – 12:00 pm: Pre-Trip Inspection Basics (3 hours)
    • Introduction to pre-trip inspection procedures
  • 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Hands-On Pre-Trip Inspection (3 hours)
    • Practice performing a pre-trip inspection
  • 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm: Study Session/Review (2 hours)

Thursday:

  • 9:00 am – 12:00 pm: Basic Driving Skills (Classroom) (3 hours)
    • Starting stopping, and steering techniques
  • 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Basic Driving Skills (Practical) (3 hours)
    • Hands-on practice in a controlled environment
  • 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm: Study Session/Review (2 hours)

    • Merging, lane changes, and highway exits
  • 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm: Study Session/Review (2 hours)

Tuesday:

  • 9:00 am – 12:00 pm: Defensive Driving Techniques (Classroom) (3 hours)
    • Anticipating and avoiding potential hazards
  • 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Defensive Driving Techniques (Practical) (3 hours)
    • Hands-on practice of defensive driving skills
  • 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm: Study Session/Review (2 hours)

Wednesday:

  • 9:00 am – 12:00 pm: Advanced Maneuvering and Parking (3 hours)
    • Practice advanced maneuvers and parking techniques
  • 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Individual Feedback and Improvement (3 hours)

    • Introduction to logbooks and electronic logging devices
  • 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm: Study Session/Review (2 hours)

  • 9:00 am – 12:00 pm: Logbooks and ELDs (Practical) (3 hours)
    • Hands-on practice with logbooks and ELDs
  • 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Vehicle Inspections and Maintenance Logs (3 hours)
    • Documenting inspections and maintenance
  • 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm: Introduction to Reading a Map/ Study Session/Review (2 hours)

Wednesday:

  • 9:00 am – 12:00 pm: Emergency Procedures (Classroom) (3 hours)
    • Steps to take in case of an accident or emergency
  • 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Vehicle Breakdown Procedures (Classroom) (3 hours)
    • What to do in case of a breakdown
  • 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm: Study Session/Review (2 hours)

Thursday:

  • 9:00 am – 12:00 pm: Vehicle Breakdown Procedures (Practical) (3 hours)
    • Basic roadside repairs and emergency drills
  • 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm: First Aid Basics (Classroom) (3 hours)
    • Basic first aid techniques and use of first aid kits
